Paleontology is generally not well known amidst the general public as a field of scientific research. Sharing links between both biology and earth sciences, people are often unaware that a whole scientific domain lies between these two scientific fields. The lack of depth for paleontology during high school education is one of the causes why people find it difficult to differentiate between archaeology and paleontology, or between geology of geography. As part of our main duties as a scientific organisation, we focus on the awareness and outreach of paleontological research by means of education, events and infotainment .
